WORK IN PROGRESS
May 12th – May 31st, 2016

Work in Progress is an artists’ residency in the heart of Times Square. Artists will occupy a fully functioning office space with sweeping views of the center of the commercial world, with hundreds of thousands of people bustling bellow and flashing signs surrounding.

The residency questions the romantic and idealized notion of the artists’ studio, inviting artists to produce work from a desk in an office space during regular work hours. The residency thus bridges the divide between artistic creativity and corporate working culture.

The residency culminates in a performative "office hours" event organized in collaboration with Performa.

Participating artists include Joshua Citarella, Violet Dennison, Cyril Duval, Haley Mellin, Sarah Meyohas, Sigrid Lauren, and Brad Troemel. Work in Progress is organized by Tiffany Zabludowicz.
